Health Carousel Hires CNO to Executive Team, Makes News Again

Health Carousel has added a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to its growing executive team. Earl Dalton MHA, MSL, RN, NEA-BC brings over 20 years of acute hospital experience to Health Carousel. Dalton will provide guidance and best practices from his vast nursing leadership experience to enable the company to better serve its healthcare professionals and customers. His hiring was featured in both the Business Courier and Staffing Industry Analyst.In 2016 alone, Health Carousel has added a Chief Financial Officer, General Counsel, a Chief People Officer and now a Chief Nursing Officer. To accommodate its new talent, the company will open its fourth office location this summer. Health Carousel has recently been recognized as a Fast-55 fastest growing company, and a top place to work in Cincinnati.

Dalton’s addition is a part of the company’s aggressive growth agenda.Prior to Health Carousel, Dalton worked for TriHealth for five years in various roles finishing as the Director of Emergency Services for a 380-bed acute care facility. TriHealth is one of the largest employers in greater Cincinnati with over 11,000 employees. Under his leadership, the emergency department won the Lantern Award at TriHealth for exceptional practice and innovation in an emergency department setting. Furthermore, Dalton won the 2015 Mount St Joseph Distinguished Nurse Director award and helped bring a culture of shared governance and Magnet designation to his teams.Before TriHealth, Dalton was the director of emergency and critical care services at Duke University Health System and was awarded the First Hand Hygiene Leadership Champion by Duke Health’s system wide infection control committee. Health Carousel’s leadership is thrilled to add Dalton’s talents to the executive team.

Dalton is widely recognized as a thought leader in clinical nursing leadership. He was published in Customer Care News for innovation in customer experience back in 2015 and invited to speak to a national audience at the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses on “Innovative transformational leadership” in October of 2012.
