Health Carousel's third annual Nursing Careers Week returns November 9–13, 2026, with expanded programming, a brand-new continuing education experience, and $5,000 scholarships for nurses worldwide. Registration is free and open now.
Every nurse deserves access to the tools, inspiration, and community that can move their career forward — regardless of where they practice, what stage they're in, or where they're headed next. That belief is why Health Carousel created Nursing Careers Week, and it's why we're bringing it back for a third year.
Nursing Careers Week 2026 takes place November 9–13, 2026, as a free global virtual experience open to every nurse, everywhere. Whether you are a student finding your footing, a bedside nurse exploring what's next, an internationally educated nurse preparing for a U.S. career, or a seasoned leader looking to reconnect with your purpose — this event was built for you.

What We've Built Together
When Health Carousel launched Nursing Careers Week, the goal was simple but ambitious: create a free, global space where nurses could access career development content that too many have never had. What happened next exceeded every expectation.
The 2025 event drew more than 15,000 registrations from across the United States and more than 45 countries. More than 20 leading healthcare organizations came together as partners. More than $10,000 in scholarships and giveaways was awarded to nurses who showed up ready to invest in themselves. Dozens of free career coaching sessions filled within 48 hours. Tens of thousands of nurses connected, engaged, and left with something they hadn't had before — clarity, momentum, and community.
That is the foundation we are building on in 2026.
"What nurses are telling us — loudly and clearly — is that they want more than a job. They want a career with purpose, flexibility, and a future they can actually see themselves in," said Earl Dalton, MHA, MSL, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, Chief Clinical Officer and Vice President of Clinical Services at Health Carousel. "Nursing Careers Week exists because we believe every nurse — regardless of where they are in the world or where they stand in their career journey — deserves access to the resources, inspiration, and community that can truly change their professional trajectory. We are proud to bring that back for a third year, and to make it the most impactful experience we have ever delivered."
What to Expect in 2026
This year's event is more curated and more intentional — designed to deliver real value across five focused days. Programming is built around three core tracks:
- The Empowered Nurse — Take ownership of your career through sessions on leadership, entrepreneurship, alternate career paths, and the voices of nurses who are redefining success on their own terms.
- The Resilient Nurse — Protect your well-being and build a sustainable future with programming on financial wellness, psychological safety, and the tools every nurse needs to thrive long-term.
- The Global Nurse — Navigate global career pathways, hear from internationally educated nurses building careers across borders, and get a clear roadmap for what it takes to pursue a nursing career in the United States.
New for 2026: Learn and Earn gives nurses access to dedicated and free, self-paced continuing education. Select accredited webinars, learn on your own schedule, and earn CE credits — all at no cost. It is the first experience of its kind at Nursing Careers Week, and it is our direct response to what nurses told us they needed most.
All sessions will also be available on demand, making it easy to participate no matter your time zone, shift schedule, or personal responsibilities.
More Than an Event — A Movement
Nursing Careers Week is powered by a growing coalition of healthcare organizations, nursing associations, educational institutions, and advocacy groups that share one belief: when nurses are supported, healthcare gets better for everyone.
Among this year's partners is Shannon McPeek, BSN, RN, Founder and CEO of Operation Happy Nurse, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting nurses facing stress, anxiety, and depression.
“Nursing is equal parts rewarding and extremely difficult. While we, as healthcare workers, continue to acknowledge the difficulties of the profession, some organizations don't. We partner with Nursing Careers Week because they do. They provide adequate resources for nurses to celebrate the rewarding parts of the profession while simultaneously acknowledging the difficult ones. They share the voices of nurses and give our community space to share resources and support each other. Nursing Careers Week helps support the real work of nursing.”
What Nurses Are Saying
The most powerful proof of what Nursing Careers Week delivers comes from the nurses who have been there.
"Nursing Careers Week was a light in the middle of so much uncertainty. Before that week, my career path felt unclear and I often felt like I was navigating it alone. After attending, everything shifted. I realized there were more possibilities ahead of me than I had ever allowed myself to imagine — and that there was an entire global community of nurses walking alongside me." — 2025 Nursing Careers Week Attendee
"This experience reignited my passion for nursing leadership and reminded me that nurses don't just belong at the bedside — we belong at the policy table, in the boardroom, and at the center of every conversation that shapes the future of healthcare. I left feeling more confident, more connected, and more ready than ever to pursue what comes next." — 2025 Nursing Careers Week Attendee
Scholarships and Giveaways
Nursing Careers Week 2026 goes beyond sessions and speakers. Registered attendees will be eligible to apply for $5,000 scholarships designed to support continuing education and help nurses take their next step forward. Daily $250 giveaways will also be awarded throughout the week.
Because investing in nurses should never stop at inspiration.
